Went through Hurricane Fredrick in the Corp. What a trip!! Enjoyed every minute, maybe a little too much, cause after about 2 months I failed a block and had to leave. But I still watched and admired them from the sidelines. Retired in 99 and now follow the DCI whenever close enoght to Knoxville, TN

I was an Autotracker student and had a great time while at Keesler. My favorite pieces were Blue Knight Boogie and Glory Hallelujah. I'd love to make the reunion. Thanks for putting the site together.

I was in the bugle section while there and was one of the few to get corps drunk and sharp rope at the same time. I was elected Corps Commander my last 4 months there (May-Aug 81) Had a blast, went to Disney World, Flew to Barksdale, Marched in Mardi Gras parades. Women really do like a man in uniform..... Loved being part of it. Absolutely the best time in my 21 years in the Air Force.

I was a Blue Knight from Jun-Oct 1984, although only at Keesler for a short time I have many fond memories. I remember playing in the World's Fair parade down Bourbon Street, the Fireman's Parade in Biloxi, and a Fish or Shrimp fry in Biloxi attended by the USFL team. Met Marcus Dupree. Joe Lopez and Kline were good friends and I'm embarrassed to say I'm the one with the bag over my head in Mayer's photo next to Kline. I remember taking great pride in our 'show dorm' keeping the floors polished to a high shine. Thanks for allowing me to reminisce! BTW, retired last year after 27 1/2 years.

The Drum and Bugle program was kind of a small program when I came in to Keesler, but by the time I'd left, it was nearly 40 people strong (we don't have our own color guard or rifle section, just brass and percussion). I have the Blue Knights to thank for the best memories I have of Keesler, not to mention the opportunity of leadership it gave me when I was able to step up as the Corps Commander after only a month in (more like, I raised my hand, but...). I'm proud to have been a Blue Knight, and I hope I've done the corps proudly in my time as a part of it. Honor. Tradition. Power.

My time in the Corps was short due to my stupidity and lack of moral control. But it was the best time of my military career!!! And remember Hurricane Frederick very well!!!

This is a new entry because I couldn't figure out how to edit my original one. I was in the corps from 07 Aug 69 to about the end of Feb 70. Was there for Hurricane Camille and spent two weeks slaving over a hot radio at at K5TYP.
